CHICAGO (STMW) – A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head Friday night in the Far South Side Pullman neighborhood.

Police said they found the boy unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 12100 block of South Green Street about 9:09 p.m.

Shell casings were recovered at the scene, and Area South detectives have begun a homicide investigation. No one was in custody as of Friday night.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said it has been notified of the boy’s death, but the boy’s identity was not being released early Saturday.
