Woman Found Dead In Edgewater Alley
CHICAGO (STMW) - Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in an alley in the Edgewater neighborhood Saturday morning.
The woman's body was found in the alley in the 5600 block of North Broadway at 7:06 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak. The woman was an adult but her exact age and her ID were not yet known.
Police had no additional details yet on the investigation and were awaiting the results of an autopsy to find out the cause and manner of the woman's death.
The alley is behind the North Side Toyota auto dealership, according to a street directory.
A representative from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office was not immediately available Saturday morning to confirm the death.
Area North detectives are investigating.
