Police: No Charges Filed Against Kane

(WSCR) Patrick Kane may not have been able to evade the spotlight during his weekend of partying in Madison, but it looks like he'll avoid criminal charges.

According to a report, Joel DeSpain, the public information officer for the Madison Police Department, said a sergeant ''had contact'' with Kane on May 5 but said his actions didn't warrant a citation or an arrest.

Kane's actions came to light after a Deadspin article featured pictures of an apparently drunk Kane wandering around Madison.

DeSpain said his department is aware of the Deadspin article, which included allegations Kane choked a woman at frat party, but he said he wasn't aware of any complaints or any pending legal action against Kane.
