Chicago has great Farmers Markets through the fall, but the city also has a festival for almost everyone from May through September.
Three festivals beginning this weekend include the Belmont-Sheffield Music Festival – showcasing the area's top tribute bands along Sheffield Avenue between Belmont and School Street. It's on from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Also coming Saturday is the season opener for the Randolph Street Market, featuring antiques, art, fashion and vintage treasure. It's on at the Historic Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
And in Pilsen, look for the Mole de Mayo outdoor festival, featuring fine Mexican food, music and an enthusiastic crowd. It's on from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Peoria Street between 18th and 19th streets.
