Police: One Dead, One Wounded In Lawndale Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) – One male is dead and another was wounded in a shooting early Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side, police said.

The males, whose ages were not immediately available, were shot about 2:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Millard Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

Both were taken to Mount Sinai in “stable” condition, Mirabelli said. However, one of the males died at the hospital a short time later.

Area Central Detectives are investigating.

No one was in custody Saturday morning.
