(WSCR) Not surprisingly, Ken “The Hawk” Harrelson’s rant against umpire Mark Wegner made its way to the commissioner’s office.

After Wegner ejected pitcher Jose Quintana for throwing behind Ben Zobrist on Wednesday, Hawk went into a multi-inning rant against the home plate umpire.

Harrelson told ESPN he had a chat with both commissioner Bud Selig and White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, though he did more listening than talking.

“I talked to Bud Selig yesterday,” Harrelson said Friday. “We had a talk. Actually, Bud talked and I listened. If it was a prize fight, they would have stopped it in the first round.

“I also talked to Jerry, and I listened to him as well. That’s all I really have to say.”
