CHICAGO (CBS) – Police officers got a surprise when the person they found holding a gun during a recent stop on the West Side was a 3-year-old girl.
Police stopped the car because of something they had seen many times before: children in the car not strapped into car seats or secured by seat belts.
What they found when they got to the car is something they had never seen: a 3-year-old with a gun.

As police stood outside the car, the little girl dropped the weapon, which had eight live rounds that did not discharge.
Police arrested Queshan King, 22, charging him with endangering the life of a child and possession of a gun without a FOID card. Bond for King, one of six adults in the vehicle, was set at $50,000.
