CHICAGO (CBS) – Get ready, Chicago-area residents: It’s going to be a scorcher this weekend.

Temperatures will peak into the low-90s on Saturday and Sunday, with no rain expected.

The sweltering temperatures come as several weekend festivals were ready to kick in across the city. Among them: Blues Fest in Grant Park, Ribfest in North Center and the Old Town Art Fair.

Though it will be hot, look on the bright side: One year ago, temperatures were in the 50s, and it was rainy.

“This is a very good problem. I like it that it’s dry. It’s OK,” Jeneene Brown-Mosley, Blues Fest spokeswoman, tells CBS 2.
