CHICAGO (CBS) — Police have issued a warning to Near West Side residents after a string of burglaries in the neighborhood surrounding the United Center.

There have been at least three burglaries in the past week, according to Area Central police detectives.

The burglaries happened at the following locations and times:

• The 1800 block of West Washington Boulevard – between Wolcott Avenue and Wood Street – around 7 a.m. June 5.

• The 2000 block of West Warren Boulevard – between Damen and Wolcott avenues – around 5 p.m. this past Thursday.

• The 2100 block of West Madison Street, between Wolcott and Hoyne avenues, around noon Sunday.

Police advise residents of the area to keep their homes well-lit, and watch out for anyone suspicious in the neighborhood.
