Eye On Pets: Taking Your Dog On Vacation

Editor's Note: A new weekly feature begins airing today on Newsradio WBBM. It's called Eye on Pets and will feature tips from one of Chicago's top veterinarians to help keep your pets healthy and happy.

The feature will air Saturdays at 11:52 a.m., 3:52 p.m. and 11:52 p.m.

Today's topic: Taking your dog on vacation.

"The number one advice, is get your dog used to whatever environment you are going to be traveling in," said Dr. Julia Georgesen, co-director of Blum Animal Hospital in Chicago. "Whether it's a car, plane, I would just get them used to those situations before you embark on a big journey."
