GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (CBS) — Police are searching for a man who disappeared after hopping off a pontoon boat to go swimming in Gages Lake in the far north suburbs.

Grayslake and Lake County Sheriff’s Department are searching for the man in the lake, located in unincorporated Grayslake.

Officials were contacted at 9:40 p.m. Monday, when two men were on a pontoon boat and decided to go swimming.

The boat drifted away, and one of the men was able to swim back to shore. But the other hasn’t been seen since.

Officials are not releasing any information about the missing man.
