Report: Sandusky's Adopted Son Was Ready To Testify Against Him

(CBS) According to an NBC report, Jerry Sandusky's adopted son was prepared to testify against him Wednesday.

The report says the prosecution warned the defense that they would call Matt Sandusky to the stand as a rebuttal witness if the defense called Jerry Sandusky to testify. NBC cites sources that said the adopted son had "damaging testimony" against his father.

Defense attorney Joe Amendola rested his case Wednesday without calling the former Penn State defensive coordinator to the stand.

Sandusky now faces 48 counts of child sexual abuse after three counts were dropped this morning. Closing arguments will be heard Thursday.
