CHICAGO (CBS) — Authorities seized a stockpile of illegal fireworks valued at $20,000.

Chicago police on Friday showed off the stash they confiscated just blocks away from a South Side station.

The department’s bomb and arson unit will take the entire stash to an undisclosed location and destroy it.

Aaron Torres, 49, of Chicago was given an administrative notice of violation for being in possession of explosives, police said.
