CHICAGO (STMW) – A man is in critical condition Sunday morning after someone shot him in the head while he was driving and he crashed into a pole, police said.
The man in his 30s was driving in the 1300 block of North Pulaski Road about 4:15 a.m. when a male on foot opened fire, striking the man in the head and causing him to lose control and crash into a pole, police said.
He was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
No one is in custody. Area North detectives are investigating.
