(CBS) The Detroit Tigers once again have interest in Cubs right-hander Matt Garza, according to FOXSports.com’s Jon Morosi.
The two teams discussed a trade for Garza back in January, but talks fizzled out. The Tigers are in the market for another starting pitcher, but Morosi reports the talks with the Cubs are not serious yet.
Morosi also reported that the Blue Jays, Indians, Reds, Red Sox, Diamondbacks and Cardinals scouted Garza last night in Atlanta. The right-hander struggled against the Braves, allowing five hits, five runs and three walks in just four innings of work.
