Firefighters Battle Extra Alarm Blaze In Woodlawn

CHICAGO (STMW) — Emergency crews are on the scene of an extra alarm fire Sunday morning in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

The blaze began shortly before 5 a.m. at an occupied three-story apartment building near the intersection of East 64th Street and South Cottage Grove Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.

The response was quickly elevated to a 2-11 alarm.

No injuries were reported Sunday morning.
