(CBS) The Los Angeles Dodgers have interest in both Ryan Dempster and Matt Garza, according to CBSSports.com’s Jon Heyman.
Dempster appears to be the priority for the Dodgers, who are considered the favorite for the right-hander. The team has expressed interest in Garza as a backup plan, however, according to the report.
Garza figures to get plenty of interest from A.L. East teams, a division he had success in as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays. According to Heyman, the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays all have interest in Garza and the Orioles could get in the mix as well.
