Does the Land of Lincoln owe you some cold, hard cash? It might, and State Treasurer Dan Rutherford wants to make sure you get it.

The state’s unclaimed property program just added 780,000 names onto it’ online database. It’s the law for the state to turn over unpaid wages, refunds, inactive bank accounts, money orders or things forgotten in safe deposit boxes.
