Teen Boy Critically Hurt In Far North Side Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) – A teenager was critically wounded in a Wednesday night shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

The male, believed to be in his late teens, was shot about 7:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of West Chase Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety, citing preliminary information.

He was initially taken in critical condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
