Instead of lugging around massive 100-plus page playbooks during training camp, each member of the Bears team has been given an iPad with a digital version of the team’s playbook.
Videos from each practice are also uploaded onto each player’s iPad, so they can review plays and correct mistakes.
“It’s more convenient because we don’t have to go in to watch film,” Carimi told the Chicago Tribune. “It all gets downloaded every day. So, the film that we have from the walk-through we just did, it’s all on here, so I can go watch it. That way you don’t have five guys at one (video) station trying to watch stuff and you can do it at your own pace. It’s pretty nice and I am a tech guy so I like this stuff.”
