CHICAGO (CBS) — A death investigation is underway, after a man’s body was found on the beach off Thorndale Avenue.

The man’s body was found around 6:30 a.m. in Lane Park and Beach, near Thorndale Avenue and Sheridan Road.

The man was believed to be in his 40s.

Authorities have not provided further details on what happened to the man. His identification was not released Thursday morning.
