Deng Plans To Avoid Surgery On Injured Wrist

(WSCR) With Luol Deng's Olympic performance all but wrapped up, the small forward can now focus on preparing for the Bulls training camp, which is roughly two months away.

Deng played the majority of the 2011-12 season with a torn ligament in his left wrist. Still, Deng said he has no plans to have surgery on the injured wrist before the coming season.

"Did I look like I needed (surgery)?" Deng said Monday evening. "I'm fine right now. I feel great. There are a lot of things I want to improve in my game that I want to focus on now. I want to be a better player than I was last year.

"I have time to make decisions and be healthy by the time we start (training camp)."
