Man Critically Hurt In Woodlawn Drive-By

CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was critically injured in a drive-by shooting in the South Side Woodlawn community Tuesday evening.
The man, 21, was standing on a corner in the 6700 block of South Langley Avenue at 7:22 p.m., when a van drove by and someone inside opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said.
A friend drove him to University of Chicago Medical Centers, where he remains in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the leg, O’Brien said.
Area Central detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody Tuesday evening.
