Former 1985 Heisman Trophy winner, professional baseball and football player. After his professional sports career, he formed the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Complex in Lockport, IL, of which he is part-owner and CEO. Jackson is also the President of Bo Jackson Enterprises, Inc., and currently serves as a Director of Burr Ridge Bank and Trust. He was recently presented with the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, which is awarded each year to former NCAA student-athletes on the 25th anniversary of their college graduation for career accomplishment.
Former professional Chicago football player who served as the team’s defensive captain in the 1985 Super Bowl. Fencik received his Bachelor’s Degree from Yale University, and in 1985, he received his MBA from Northwestern University. After his pro football career, Fencik worked in the finance industry for Wells Fargo and UBS. He currently works for Adams Street Partners, a global private equity investment management firm that offers comprehensive solutions for its investors.
Former NHL player throughout the 1980’s as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks and New Jersey Devils. Member of the 1980 US Olympic Gold Medal winning Hockey team in Lake Placid. Former member of the CME (1984-1998). Since 1992, President of Beanpot Financial Services, a boutique Investment Services firm with offices in Winnetka, IL and Boston, Ma.
Benjamin R. Armstrong, President of Basketball Management is a certified NBA Player Agent and brings over 16 years of NBA experience to Wasserman’s staff. In addition, Armstrong’s 11 years as a player and five years in NBA management make him an invaluable resource for all of WMG’s clients. Specifically in his agent role, Armstrong represents Derrick Rose, the #1 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Armstrong negotiated a multi-million dollar shoe deal for Derrick in 2012 and is constantly working to build Derrick’s brand, including obtaining partnerships for Derrick with companies like Wilson and Powerade.
Armstrong was an integral part of the Chicago Bulls dynasty of the 1990s. Armstrong played a total of 11 seasons in the NBA for four different teams. Selected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft out of the University of Iowa, the 6’2” Armstrong played alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen as the Bulls won three consecutive championships from 1991-1993. Armstrong was named to the NBA All-Star team in 1994 and after his initial stint with the bulls he played for the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, and Orlando Magic.
Armstrong Graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in communication with a minor in business administration in 1989. A Detroit native, B.J. currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
