CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police have issued a community alert following three similar strong-arm robberies in South Shore, near the southern end of Jackson Park.

As WBBM Newsradio's Terry Keshner reports, the first robbery happened around 3 a.m. Aug. 10, in the 6700 block of South Cornell Avenue.

The same day around 4 p.m., another robbery happened just a block to the west, in the 6700 block of busy South Stony Island Avenue.

Two days later, there was a robbery about 5 p.m., once again in the 6700 block of South Cornell Avenue.

In all three cases, the robber or robbers approached victims walking in the street, pushed them down, and took property by force.
