SCHILLER PARK, Ill. (CBS) — Two people were hospitalized Friday morning in an accident involving a postal truck and a van in Schiller Park.

The accident happened at 4:50 a.m. Friday on Mannheim Road just south of Irving Park Road, not far from the southern boundary of O’Hare International Airport, police said.

A van and a U.S. Postal Service semi-trailer truck were involved in the crash, police said. Further details were not immediately learned.

Two people were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately learned.

As late as just before 6 a.m., crews remained on the scene working to clear the area.
