(WSCR) The statement ‘If you mess with the bull, you’re going to get the horns’ has never been more true.
Matador Fernando Cruz found out the hard way just how true that statement can be when he was bull fighting at Madrid’s La Ventas bull ring. While fending off the beast, Cruz got a bull horn through the stomach.
Reports indicate Cruz is sedated in the intensive care unit at Virgen del Mar Hospital.
“His condition is stable,” Cruz’s physician said. “He had a very troubled night despite the sedatives, all due to the magnitude of the mishap. And it’s still too soon to guess what’s going to happen in the coming hours.”
