CHICAGO (CBS) – A robber who implies he has a gun has hit two Near North businesses this month, police said in a community alert issued Friday.

The suspect walked into the businesses, claimed to have a gun and demanded money from the cash register before walking away with cash, Chicago police said.

The suspect robbed a location in the 400 block of North State Street on Aug. 12 and another in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue on Aug. 15.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
