Woman Sexually Assaulted In Bronzeville

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted during a robbery Sunday in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

The assault happened as the woman exited her vehicle after she parked it in a lot in the 4700 block of South Vincennes Avenue, police said.

A man approached the woman, took out a black handgun, robbed her and then began to sexually assault her in the parking lot.

Police described the robber as a black man with a dark complexion. He is between the ages of 20 and 35, has a thin build and is believed to be 6-foot tall and 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and has a goatee and mustache.

He wore a dark gray long-sleeved hooded jacket, blue jeans and a ski mask, police said.
