Students On Alert After Sex Assault At Western Illinois University

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Students on the campus of Western Illinois University in Macomb are being put on alert after a woman says she was sexually assaulted over the weekend.

The female student says she was attacked outside Sherman Hall as she walked along Adams Street just before midnight Sunday.

School officials are encouraging students to take precautions and use safety escorts when walking around the campus during the evening and overnight hours.
