1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Auburn-Gresham Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) — One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting in the South Side Auburn-Gresham neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred about 1 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Bishop Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.

A 24-year-old man was found dead, Kubiak said.

Another man, also in his 20s, was shot in the leg and taken to an area hospital, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said. His injury was not life-threatening.

Area South detectives are investigating.
