Remnants Of Isaac Could Mess With Chicago's Holiday Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Hurricane Isaac could affect the Labor Day holiday in the Chicago area with heavy rain.

The remnants of Isaac are expected to move northward toward Illinois by Friday, then move slowly northeast through the holiday weekend.

The storm could produce torrential rainfall but it is unclear where exactly the heavy rain will occur. It may reach northern Illinois and northwest Indiana over the weekend, but the path is uncertain at this point, CBS 2 meteorologist Megan Glaros says.

There is also a chance of thunderstorms late Friday afternoon into Saturday, and then move east on Sunday.

The high temperatures in Chicago on Thursday and Friday are expected to be in the mid-90s.
