Girl Shot In Stomach On West Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A girl suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen in a shooting Friday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, fire officials said.
The girl was shot about 11:05 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Wilcox Street, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.
The girl was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Langford said.
Emergency personnel initially responded to a report of an 11-year-old girl shot, but authorities now believe the girl to be 15.
