CHICAGO (STMW) – A man died early Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Lake Shore Drive south of McCormick Place, police said.

The man was driving a vehicle about 12:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the 2600 block of South Lake Shore Drive when the car struck a curb and a pole, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

The vehicle flipped and the male was pinned in, police said. He was dead on the scene.

He was identified as 28-year-old Jessie Corono of the 10300 block of South Avenue G, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
