(WSCR) The White Sox have recalled Dylan Axelrod from Double-A Birmingham.
The 27-year-old Axelrod is 2-2 with a 4.93 ERA in 11 appearances (seven starts) with the White Sox this season.
He earned the victory in his last start on August 29 at Baltimore, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts over a career-high 7 and 1/3 innings pitched.. The 6-foot-0, 195-pounder was optioned to Birmingham following the game.
He did not appear in a game with the Barons.
