(WSCR) Though he practiced fully on Friday, there is still no determination on punter Adam Podlesh’s playing status for Sunday’s season opener against the Colts.
“Do I think that (Podlesh will play)?” Bears coach Lovie Smith said Friday. “I try not to guess too much on that. I know he got good work in today and we have a couple days before game time. He practiced today.”
If Podlesh cannot play, rookie Ryan Quigley will start in his place.
Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher participated fully in the Bears final practice Friday and appears to be ready for the season opener.
Safety Chris Conte, who also practiced fully Friday, is probable for Sunday’s game.
