11 United Airlines Employees Win Cars For Perfect Attendance

CHICAGO (CBS) -- They were never on the Oprah Winfrey Show, but 11 United Airlines employees are getting new cars.

As WBBM Newsradio's Brandis Friedman reports, the airline is rewarding the 11 employees for perfect attendance. They are getting the Ford car of their choice for showing up to work every day within a 6-month period.

The 11 winners are from all around the United system, and were chosen from several thousand employees who had perfect attendance.

They received the cars at O'Hare International Airport Friday.

Twenty-five year veteran employee Marlon Crawford of Chicago was among the winners. He thinks it is important that employees are recognized for their hard work.

They could choose among several Ford models, such as the Mustang Explorer or Escape. But as to the color, they have to take United blue.
