CHICAGO (CBS) — The gloomy skies and bone-chilling rain have moved on their way, and a beautiful Friday is set to give way to a beautiful weekend.
CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros says as of 11:20 a.m., it was 67 in Waukegan, 68 at O’Hare International Airport and Gary, Ind., 69 at Midway International Airport, and 65 at Joliet, Peru and Kankakee.
The beautiful conditions will continue through the day, with the high clouds giving way to purely sunny skies as a ridge of high pressure takes over.
The high for Friday is 73, and for Saturday, the high climbs to 75 with even more beautiful conditions. The high climbs to 76 on Sunday.
The high for Monday is also 76, but a cold front will pass through, cutting the high to a mere 68 for Tuesday. The high for Wednesday of next week is 66 and for Thursday 70.
