Bears Sign New Contract for RB Bell, Waive Safety Jones

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) — The Bears on Saturday signed running back Khalil Bell to a one-year contract, and waived safety Jeremy Jones.

In 20 games and three starts with the Bears played over three seasons beginning in 2009, Bell had 557 rushing yards on 119 attempts.

He added 137 receiving yards and one touchdown on 20 receptions.

The Bears waived Bell on Aug. 23.
