3-Time Lottery Winner Would Share Her Secrets, If There Were Any

HOMER GLEN, Ill. (CBS) -- Southwest of Chicago, a three-time lottery winner says she would share her system – if there were one.

As WBBM Newsradio's John Cody reports, Lynne McGovern says her real luck is her husband, two children, and six grandchildren. But she admits the lottery has been pretty good too.

"Last Wednesday, I bought a Little Lotto ticket – an $8 quick-pick – and I was shocked when I checked it Thursday and won $325,000" McGovern said. "Two or three years ago, I scratched a $5 Christmas ticket, actually, and won a $100,000, and I want to say about 12 or 13 years ago, I had won the Little Lotto and won $45,000."

Her technique? There isn't really one.

"I get really, really lucky," she said. "I know there's no skill involved. It's just luck."

McGovern, of Homer Glen, says if her luck worked three times, it might work a fourth. So she has now bought a Powerball ticket.
