CHICAGO (CBS) — A crash sent a taxi flying into the guardrail alongside North Lake Shore Drive overnight.
The crash happened in the overnight hours on southbound Lake Shore Drive about a quarter mile south of the Belmont Avenue exit – due east of the terminus of Wellington Avenue.
A sport-utility vehicle slammed into the Royal 3 CCC cab and sent it into the guardrail that separates the roadway from the park of Lincoln Park.
The owner of the sport-utility vehicle was ticketed for following too closely behind the cab.
The cab driver was not seriously injured.
