CHICAGO (CBS) — It’s one of Chicago’s grand old spaces.
Now Union Station is now being recognized as one the city’s true architectural gems.
The American Planning Association named the train station one of the top 10 public spaces in the entire country for 2012.
It praises the station’s awe-inspiring design and variety of uses—not only as a train station, but as a meeting/reception place and even a movie set.
The Chicago Botanic Garden in north suburban Glencoe also made the list.
