CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man died after a sports-utility vehicle sideswiped his motorcycle Tuesday night in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side.

The 42-year-old man was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound in the 6200 block of West Diversey Avenue when an Infiniti SUV struck him as it pulled out of a nearby parking lot, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

Stanislaw Galek, 42, of the 1500 block of North 39th Avenue in Stone Park – was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m. at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
