MLS Team To Let Fans Vote On Fate Of GM
(WSCR) Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders have developed an interesting way to bring relevance to their team, while making key front office decisions.
According to a report from the New York Times, the Sounders will allow fans to vote on the fate of general manager Adrian Hanauer.
Beginning Sunday and ending Dec. 7, fans will be allowed to cast their vote at the stadium or online to fire or retrain the GM.
"At first, it sounded like a gimmick," said Kevin Zelko, the founder of the Gorilla F.C. fan club. "But now we're getting to do it. It's great to see it happen."
It should be noted that Hanauer is also a minority owner of the team, so he wouldn't be completely out of work should he be fired.
Is this a good idea? What do you think?
