Report: Bears' Costanzo Undergoes Thumb Surgery

(WSCR) Bears linebacker Blake Costanzo underwent thumb surgery Tuesday and was held out of practice.

The Tribune reports the plan is for Costanzo to be back in time for the next game Oct. 22 when the Bears host the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.

Reports indicate Costanzo played two games with this injury, and opted to have the surgery now so he could heal over the by week.
