One officer was injured in a crash. (CBS)
CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police say an officer was hurt after a squad car was involved in a crash last night in the city’s South Side Gresham neighborhood.
Police say three people, including the officer, were hurt in the two-car crash in the 7600 block of South Union just before 9:30 p.m.
The Fire Department says the victims were treated at the scene and their conditions stabilized.
The officer was hospitalized, but there’s no word on his condition.
Police say preliminary reports indicate the police squad may have been hit by a car that was fleeing a crime.
Two people were arrested following the crash.
