One Dead, Another Wounded In South Side Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- One man was fatally shot in the head and another man was wounded Wednesday night in a shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood, police said.

The two men were shot in the 8300 block of South Commercial Avenue about 6:45 p.m., according to police News Affairs.

Scott Ingram, 28, of the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue, was shot in the head and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:32 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Another man, 39, was shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in "stable" condition, police News Affairs said.

Police have made no arrests at Area South detectives continue investigating.
