Texting Driver Causes Rollover Crash In New Lenox: Police
NEW LENOX TOWNSHIP, Ill. (CBS) – A 21-year-old driver was texting on his cell phone early Thursday and caused a rollover crash, police said.
Kyle Greenfield of Manhattan was driving while distracted and struck a vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign at Cedar and Delaney roads in New Lenox Township, the Will County Sheriff's Office told CBS 2. The vehicle Greenfield struck flipped over, and two occupants were transported to Silver Cross Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Greenfield was cited for texting while driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, the sheriff's office said.
