Bye-Bye Summer Weather, Cool Temps Sticking Around

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The summer-like weather we saw the past two days is gone, and it's not coming back anytime soon.

Temperatures in the Chicago area will only reach a high just shy of 50 degrees on Friday, and temperatures like that are all we're likely to see for the foreseeable future.

Through the next five days, temperatures are not expected to go any higher than 49 or 50 degrees, and likely won't go past 50 until Wednesday. That means your kids will need to have a put on a couple layers for Halloween when they go trick-or-treating, whether that means a coat over their costume, or some long johns under it.

Luckily, skies will be mostly clear in that time, too, and there's not much rain in the forecast until Thursday.
