CHICAGO (CBS)– A man impersonating a police officer forced a woman into his vehicle at a West Side Austin neighborhood bus stop on Sunday morning, then drove to west suburban Cicero and raped her, police said.

The 36-year-old woman was waiting for a bus in the 1800 block of North Cicero Avenue about 6 a.m. Saturday when a man approached and identified himself as a police officer, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.

The suspect forced the woman into his vehicle and drove to 15th Street and Cicero Avenue in Cicero, where he sexually assaulted her.

He is described a white Hispanic, 30-34, 5-foot-7 with a heavy build and black hair.

He was wearing a green Polo T-shirt, black sweatshirt with zipper, light gray cargo pants and black shoes. He was driving a white vehicle with a possible partial plate of 7223.

Anyone with information should contact detectives at (312) 744-8200.
